Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to: EDM Leader
  • Operate EDM equipment as required
  • Perform basic machine maintenance
  • Ensure that all work is correctly and completely finished in an effective and timely matter.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance procedures are followed and report any issues or concerns to the EDM Leader
  • Actively pursue and retrieve information, work pieces, and any other critical items to ensure increased productivity in the department as defined by the EDM Leader
  • Consistently take ownership of quality and quantity of work produced by department
  • Report any foreseeable idle times to EDM Leader to increase utilization
  • Run and monitor multiple machines at one time
  • Demonstrates developed analytical skills including soliciting input from team members
  • Provide support to all areas of the EDM department including carbon machining, sinker, wire, and design

Education/Qualifications
  • Must be able to work Continental Shift:
  • Week 1: Work 48 hours (4 days of 12-hour shifts) = 40 Regular; 8 Overtime
  • Week 2: Work 36 hours (3 days of 12-hour shifts)
  • There is a 20% per hour shift premium for days and a 25% shift premium for nights. Plus a 4 hour top up on weeks that you only work 36 hours
  • 5+ years in EDM Machining Experience
  • Developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven time management abilities
  • Proven accountability and ability to take responsibility for their own work
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Observes all safety policies and regulations
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing, technology driven environment
  • Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude
  • Basic Microsoft Windows / Office skills
