Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to: Manager of Program Managers
  • Provide Daily support to Program Manager/s for:
  • Work order update
  • Quote breakdowns
  • Attend weekly PM/Eng meeting
  • Attend/support design reviews
  • Attend post T1 tryouts
  • Develop tryout skills and complete tryout scorecards
  • Generate and email timelines to customers weekly or as required
  • Pre-delivery process compliant
  • Assist in generating TCL’s
  • Update PROJ’s for new build quote changes or EC’s
  • Update trucking log as required for tool moves
  • Ensure customer checklists are generated & issued to the design & build group leads as applicable
  • Ensure customer invoice requirements are copied to the appropriate directory (cert sheets, pictures, CMM report, design, etc.)
  • Assist in completion of QvB documentation for both phases 1&2
  • Generate shipping / part labels as required
  • Provide Support to Estimating for:
  • Log new tool RFQ’s into Excel system
  • Organize RFQ and data in preparation for Estimator
  • Generate outsource service RFQ’s for grain, surface treatments, manifolds, tryouts
  • Generate customer quote breakdowns
  • Track phase 1 & 2 QvsB progress for completion to timing target
  • Schedule QvsB team meetings to ensure progress is made to on time completion
  • Attend weekly PM/Eng meeting
  • Compile costs for QvB phase 1&2 for submission to PM
  • Estimating support for vacation coverage / overcapacity target review support
  • Other duties as required
  • Provide Special Project Support:
  • Assist in development and initial management execution for the LCC (China/India) new tool quote package RFQ & financial analysis for recommendation on cost to complete (special project assignment). Internal PM to lead package upon award of business
  • Assist in the development and initial management execution of the outsource estimating quoting & PM follow-up upon award of business
  • Support Sr. PM with special projects (KPI generation & analysis as well as continuous improvement project)
  • Estimating process development support
  • Program management quote process development support
  • Develop skills to manager complete Projects to include:
  • Manage assigned programs/ customers from kick-off through life of Program
  • Daily communication with Customer and WMG Engineering/Manufacturing team to resolve technical issues related to part and tool designs, open issues, part concessions, feasibility, timelines, etc.
  • Schedule and obtain phased design approvals with customer
  • Schedule and attend tool tryouts and issue work order to shop through tool debugging stage – identify all issues noticed at tryouts so they can be addressed first time around – even if customer did not see/identify as an issue from the outset
  • Complete Tryout Scorecard
  • Manage tool budget – weekly review of budgets on all active tools – ensure tools are within budget and report to the Sr. PM on any deviations outside of normal cash burn rates
  • Quote engineering changes, obtain PO’s and kick-off changes
  • Ownership of timing with internal follow-up to ensure delivery commitments and customer requirements are met – to include: daily reviews of DLR, ensuring tool progress is tracking on time through all manufacturing phases, daily PM task updates and Milestone Updates
  • Attend monthly PM meetings to review the PM KPI’s and report out on Tool Budgets
  • Demonstrates knowledge on the customer, the commodity, and the specific job
