Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs all elements of software development lifecycle
  • Identifies and documents application system requirements with the help of end users and subject matter experts
  • Develop solutions by leveraging various programming languages and tools.
  • Collaborates on software design to ensure application meets requirements, and follows standards.
  • Implements and maintains software solutions on various environments including Production.
  • Reviews and tests software to validate user requirements are met and to minimize the number of bugs deployed to end users
  • Provide application support to end users to resolve bugs and educate.
  • Executes tasks in a timely manner for all projects through the use of time management and software development skills.
  • Recommends processes and technologies to drive continuous improvement within the IS department and Windsor Mold as a whole.
  • Adopts workplace culture and standards to facilitate good communication and a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Collaborates with all members of IS to drive workplace efficiency by creating, adjusting, and adopting standards, work procedures, and policies.
  • Creates and reviews software documentation and presentations to effectively communicate application design, requirements, and functionality to developers and end users.

Education/Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a Software Developer
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a computer related discipline is recommended
  • Skilled with programming languages like: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Java
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented (OO) design and architectural patterns
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, MySQL, IIS, Apache, and Entity Framework
  • Usage of code versioning tools such as: SVN, Git
  • Experience with Siemens NX, Epicor (ERP), and mobile development is a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts both written and verbally
  • Familiarity with Microservices, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment
  • Shows ownership and enthusiasm in solving complex problems
  • Demonstrates interest in improving technically and personally
  • Participates in the evolution of Software Development best practices, and standards
  • Understands and can speak to Agile development practices
